Curtain-type ventilated facades are a relatively new technological solution that allows for the construction and reconstruction of buildings in compliance with all functional and aesthetic requirements. In essence, this is a facade with an air gap; such structures allow for the principle of exhaustion due to air movement as a result of temperature changes. Due to this, there is no excess humidity in the room, heat is retained in winter, and the building does not overheat in summer.

Such a ventilated facade system consists of a load-bearing wall, insulation, a structure for fixing the material, an air gap and the panel itself. The facing materials can be very different - HPL, porcelain stoneware, metal, fiber cement, all kinds of polymer and composite coatings.

Each type of facing material has its own characteristics and advantages:
It is a linear covering or cassette system, where the sheet thickness is in the range of 0.8-2 mm. Facade panels are characterized by low weight, good fire resistance, are easy to install and are relatively inexpensive.
Installation of facade subsystems of this type implies execution in the form of corrugated sheeting or linear or cassette variations. It is found in different surface colors, having a sheet thickness of 0.45-1.5 mm. It is distinguished by its bending strength, low price and convenient installation.
This is a multilayer material made of pressure-pressed paper treated with phenolic resin. It is supplied in various standard sizes, providing a thickness of 6-8 mm. The advantages of installing sandwich panels of this type are environmental friendliness of use, resistance to organics and chemicals, ease of processing, the presence of many options for external design.
Facade cassettes with a surface made of special white clay with kaolin and all sorts of minerals. The material is similar in color to natural granite. Its thickness is 9-10 mm, the sizes of tiles can be different. The features of such facade cladding are strength and wear resistance, resistance to external influences, great variability in color and surface texture.

The main advantage of such durable facade systems is considered to be simple and quick installation. Such work can be carried out at any time of the year, even in severe frosts. Conventionally, the entire process can be divided into the following stages:
The bracket arrangement scheme, the choice of the thickness of the materials for insulation and finishing the facade are planned taking into account the state of the bearing potential of the building. Brackets are attached to the wall using specialized anchors. Slabs for external thermal insulation are fixed using disc dowels. It is recommended to lay the material in a checkerboard pattern end-to-end, covering with a windproof film.
Facade ventilation is performed in the form of an air gap with a thickness of about 20 mm. It is located between the main material and the thermal insulation. When installing the guides, it is important to create the necessary parameters along the plane, leveling the base if necessary.
The type of installation actions for installing the HVF (curtain ventilated facade) depends on the choice of the base material. For example, elements of corrugated sheets and sandwich panels are fixed with specialized screws. Porcelain stoneware slabs are fixed using clamps. Composite cassettes are installed on skids or corners.
It is worth noting that the creation of a curtain-type architectural facade is a task that involves the design and implementation of a complex engineering system. Therefore, installation work should be entrusted only to professionals.
